Yauca

Yo espero todo esta bien con ustedes!! We are all doing good, we had a few problems with parasites but are fine now. As you know we stared teaching in Yauca about a month ago and it is going wonderful there. There is a group of about twenty there in a little church. There is no pastor or any type of leadership. This Sunday we will be having a baptism service at the ocean, and will baptize about 7or so. They have excepted Christ and want to follow Him in obedience. Most of them had excepted Christ but had no one to baptize them. The last several weeks we have been teaching on baptism and what it means for a believer in Christ. Last Thursday we stared a English class there. and we had a great response. These classes will give them a opportunity to learn English, and give us the opportunity to share with them about Christ. Please pray for the little Church in Yauca and for the English classes there. Also continue to pray for the Bible study and English class in Acari. We love and miss you all!! May our wonderful Lords blessing cover your life! dale, tina, hannah, joshua.

A few things to pray for.

One of the ministries we have up and running is a Friday Bible study. We meet every Friday in Acari in the house of Elena a sister in Christ. Acari is a town about 10 minutes from the town we live in (Bella Union). Last night we had 15 in attendance and four were first time visitors. This group has been meeting close to six months now, and is experiencing spiritual warfare please pray for them. Also tonight (sat.) in Acari we kick off our first English class in this area. Please pray for this ministry. On Tuesday the 25th we start working in the next village up the valley. It is about 15 minutes past Acari. We have established a home to meet in and will began Bible study Tuesday night.

Welcome

Welcome to the Ragland Family Blog NEWS FROM PERU.

This blog is so that we can update you with the ministry going on

in Peru, and so you can interact with us and pray for us. We

have been blessed beyond measure with so many wonderful

friends and family, who share in this ministry. Glory to our God!

2nd Peter 1:3-11 is one of the foundation passages for our ministry. It is a reminder of who is at work in us, and His promises are the foundation of our hope.

3 His divine power has given useverything we need for life and godliness

through our knowledge of him who called usby his own glory and goodness.

4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises so that

through them youmay participate in the divine nature and escape the

corruption in the world caused by evil desires

5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to

goodness, knowledge;

6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to

perseverance, godliness; p

7 and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.

8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you

from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus

Christ.

9 But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has

forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.

10 Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and

election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall,

11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and

Savior Jesus Christ.

Our job is not to change the world. According to the scriptures

the world’s course has already been set by our sin (1 John 2:17).

Though we have not been called to change the world, we have

been called to pull as many out of darkness as God has put

before us.   We feel that God has given us an impossible task. No

man can open the eyes of his own dark soul and add the light of

truth, much less, another mans. This can only be done by

someone greater!! It can only be done by Almighty God!! Our

faith in Christ compels us into this dark world to share the light of

Christ. Our trust is that through His work in us, His divine power,

andHis great and precious promises, that others will come into a

saving knowledge of who Jesus Christ is and escape the

corruption in the world.

Thank you Dale, Tina, Hannah, and Joshua
