Porter College Ministry

Colby Adams
Assistant Pastor of College Ministries

"My passion is seeing college student's lives transformed by the gospel. This generation of students is facing real struggles face-to-face every day. The only hope we have to transform our lives is Jesus. In short, my vision for the college ministry at PMBC is a community of students who have been transformed by the gospel, who can't get enough of the gospel in their lives, and who live with the gospel overflowing into every area of life!"

Peru Summer 2013

Welcome to the college ministry of Porter Memorial Baptist Church. We are here to walk with you as a college student through the many challenges and opportunities you will encounter through these years. These will be some of the most exciting times of your life and the decisions you make now will affect the rest of your life. We want you to see you grow closer to Christ than ever before and live your life on mission. Please take some time to look around to see how you can get plugged in at Porter.

On Sunday mornings we gather for college bible study at 9:30 in Room 39/40. Donuts and juice usually arive around 9 so feel free to come early and hang out. This is a time for us to get together as a group to study, discuss, and apply God's word to life as a college student.

Following college bible study is corporate worship with the PMBC family at 10:45. We invite you to come get plugged into the college ministry and the church as a whole on Sunday mornings.

Tuesday: 9pm at Ovid's (in W.T. Young Library)
Wednesday: 9pm at EKU Java City
Thursday: 7:30pm at UK Student Center (Ladies Only)

Fuel groups are the mid-week bible studies that take place on or around the campuses of Central KY. These are usually groups of 4-10 people that get together to have a more intimate time of bible study and discussion. As a college student it is going to be very easy to graze the surface of many different organizations or activities. However, the Christian life was not meant to be lived as a spectator but within a community of other believers. Take a look at the schedule of fuel groups and get plugged in.
