History...
In 2000, Porter Memorial Baptist Church invested heavily in making our church family
a Great Commission Church by following Matthew 28:19-20. We have seen God move and
change lives through discipleship, evangelism and teamwork since this ministry began.
What is IMPACT?
The IMPACT Ministry stands for Intentionally Meeting People and Communicating Truth.
This ministry is our churches Evangelistic Outreach Strategy used to train and equip
those who desire to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ with others wherever
they are; in the workplace, neighborhood, or the check-out line at the store.
IMPACT meets regularly every Monday night and is divided into three areas of ministry
in which to serve in...
Outreach -
You will be paired up with one or two other IMPACT members to visit those who have
visited our church campus, participated in a ministry program. Our goal and purpose
for this area of ministry is to lead others to Jesus Christ for a personal relationship
and develop and encourage people to become stronger in their faith and personal
evangelistic efforts.
Prayer -
You will gather with others involved in this ministry area to pray for the IMPACT
"Outreach" teams going out and others needs within and outside our church.
Care -
You will gather with others to write and mail cards of encouragement and hope to
visitors, people in hospital, sick, etc...
We would love for you to come and experience the "abundant life" Jesus
promises.
