COMMUNITY

Transitioning from high school to college can be the most difficult time for a person’s faith. A recent study has shown about 70% of students entering college will leave with little to no faith. At Porter, we believe being a part of a body of believers dedicated to the growth and encouragement of one another is essential for the Christian walk. We have weekly activities and curriculum to provide students with ample Christian community.

RESPONSIBILITY

When students jump from high school to college, new challenges come in the form of new goals, a new environment, and a new life. Students must make a conscious decision every day to walk with the Lord. They are out from under the faith umbrella of their parents, and it is time to make faith their own. At Porter, we provide evangelism, discipleship, and missions opportunities for students to deepen their walk with God further and grow into their faith.

SERVICE

Church involvement is a key aspect of the Christian walk. At Porter, we believe college students involved and serving within the church now will directly affect their post-college careers. They will be more adept at pursuing their faith and a faith-filled community outside college. Church involvement is more than stacking chairs and providing a free meal. These students will actively make a difference for the Gospel with a local body of believers.
