Kid Worship @ 8:30 and 11:00am

Kid Worship is a worship service that offers worship, biblical teaching, and prayer--all at a kid's level! In Kid Worship, we mirror the Bible content taught in the main service to encourage conversations between kids and their families.

Kid Worship meets every Sunday except for the first Sunday of each month. On Family First Sunday, all kids attend the main worship service with their families. Kid Worship is for lower-elementary (1st - 3rd grade) only.

Remix @ 6:15pm (Starting 8/6/25)

Remix is our new Kids Ministry Wednesday night program designed to partner with families in the discipleship of their children through teaching God's Word and growing in gospel-shaped community and relationships.

Remix will focus on key doctrinal topics taught at appropriate developmental levels. Large Group sessions will include Gospel-centered Bible teaching, Scripture memory, worship, and games, while Small Groups will allow kids to build relationships and apply what they’re learning through discussion questions and engaging activities. Younger kids (1st–3rd Grade) will dive into Bible skills and drills, while older kids (4th–5th Grade) will grow through spiritual disciplines and hands-on service.

Every month will also feature a special theme night to keep the excitement high and the vision for God’s Kingdom front and center.

FAQs

I’m interested in visiting. What should I know before I arrive?

We’re excited you are considering visiting our church! We encourage first time families to enter at our Preschool Entrance (by the canopy facing Toronto Road). Here, one of our team members will greet you, guide you through the registration process, and help your child get to the right place.

Upon check-in, your child is given a security tag, and the guardian is given a pick up tag. You will not be allowed to pick up your child until the numbers are matched on these tags. Additionally, all of our volunteers undergo a background check and child protection training.

After your first visit, your information will be entered into our check-in system. After your first week, you are welcome to use the self-check in kiosks in the Kids Welcome and Check In Area.

How can I stay up to date with the Kids Ministry?

Want to stay in the know? Join our Porter Kids email list for a monthly update from our ministry director. Additionally, you can follow us on Instagram or join our private Facebook page.

My child is interested in baptism. What are the next steps?

We host a baptism class for kids and families every other month. In this class, we discuss salvation and baptism and provide resources for families to continue having discussions at home. This class is led by Ms. Lindsay and is hosted in the Kids Worship Room at the 9:45am hour. For details on our next class, email Lindsay Smith

I want to better disciple my child. What are some resources for parents and families?

We have several resources we recommend for both parents and kids ranging from books, bibles and podcasts. Check out our resource page here.

My child has special needs. What does Porter offer for my family?

If you have a child who needs extra assistance during our programming, we want to provide the necessary supports! In order to serve your family, please email us so we are aware of the specific needs of your child. Once you have emailed, our Kids Ministry Director will reach out to make a plan for your child’s success in our ministry areas!
